There’s been some tweeting about Twit2art lately by @katia_a, @theonehitwonder, @ntone and @steffest. One question that popped up: how about a Twit2art exhibition?
Personally I think it may be really tough to organise. To begin with, the Twit2art paintings are spread all over the world:
The Netherlands: 5
In total there are 57 Twit2art artworks out there (you might remember I skipped #50).
Of course, most of them are in Belgium, but I’m not even sure if all of the 34 Belgian paintings would actually make it to the exhibition. A solution for the absent paintings could be (as suggested by @steffest) a videostream. But maybe a framed picture will also do :)
– It’s still possible to order a Twit2art artwork. Currently at a very reasonable 59 euro :)
– Recently started the Art Spammers project.
– I also noticed I didn’t put Twit2art #56, #57 and #58 online. I’ll take care of it.
Is this your first time here? Than read this first, if you want to know what the Twit2art art project is all about.
Endless Mantra is a new artwork I launched yesterday. Endless Mantra exists only online and is largely based on collaboration. Every 5 minutes, it will publish an anonymous message. These messages come from you, and everybody else who likes to join in. See it as a public place to let of steam, to make confessions, to gossip, whatever. Anonymously if you will.
There are two ways to send in messages to Endless Mantra, via email and via Twitter. All info about the what and how of Endless Mantra is here.
UPDATE 2009/10/02: Apparently I was breaking Twitter’s terms of service. They deleted the @endlessmantra account.
You might remember I sponsored the Brussel Girl Geek Dinner #8 with a commissioned artwork. Sigrid won it. Her painting was already finished quite a while ago, but it wasn’t easy to find a date to arrange the delivery. Until today. May I introduce to you, “Kiddo”:

Some detail shots:
A while ago Tom (from Twit2art #47) asked if I wanted to make three paintings for the Baqmar Conference in December. Each of the speakers will receive a painting as a gift. Of course I agreed, I like to paint, you know. This is what they wanted:
– A small painting
– Two main characters: the Baqmar mascots “Baqman” and “Baqmadam”
– The text “Innovation through exploration”, which is the conference theme.
Here’s one of the three paintings I made:
Title: Innovation Through Exploration #1
